It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted on here but I’m back and better than ever!! For my final high school photography assignment I wanted to do something I’d never done before….shoot in the rain. So I called up one of my favorite models and best friend, Addison, and of course she was down for another crazy photoshoot with me!
Originally we were gonna go downtown for an edgier vibe and pretend like we were Rhianna in her Umbrella music video, but that didn’t happen. Right before we left the house the rain stopped, but don’t worry we had a backup plan. We ended up going down to Bull Creek, one of my personal favorite photo locations in Austin, and went for a nature aesthetic instead. Because of all the rain from the past couple of weeks the creek was full of flowing water, which lead to an interesting photoshoot. Luckily Addison is always down for anything and fully submerged herself into the creek.
Addison wore a dainty black sundress with a white button down shirt for this shoot and accessorized with some simple jewelry. I shoot with a Nikon d3400 and used my 24-70mm lens, which I love to use for editorial shoots like this because I’m able to get both wide and close up shots with out changing lenses. The contrast of her outfit, with the water and the soft lighting because of the clouds came together perfectly for this shoot. I am absolutely OBSESSED with the photos we got!!
Well that’s all for now! Hopefully I can start posting more regularly on here with all the photoshoots I do!!
