With 2020 finally coming to a close I wanted to share my top ten photos that I have taken this year!!
1. Farmer Chic
I did this shoot at a family friends ranch and absolutely loved how the pics turned out! We took them in front of these giant bales of hay which was the perfect background for the shoot! I especially loved this shot because how the color in her eyes really popped in the photo!
2. Almost Vogue
Out of all the self portraits I took this year these were my favorite! I wanted to go for a very editorial, Vogue aesthetic for this shoot and I think I accomplished that. This one was my favorite because I just loved the contrast between the deep, dark reds and the whites. Plus when editing I decided to get the full Vogue effect I photoshopped in the Vogue logo at the top to make it look like a magazine cover!
3. Field of Dreams
This summer my friend Addison and I did so many photoshoots and this first golden hour one was one of my favorites! We actually did this shoot in a park across the street from a Sonic and a gas station, but after a bunch of editing you would never know! This was also one of my first times taking photos during golden hour and I LOVED IT!!
4. Sporty Spice
Guess what another photoshoot with my girl Addison!! This time we went to the top of a parking garage for more golden hour shots. We had a little fun with this one and used a disco ball as a prop which was super cool when playing with the lighting! Addison’s outfit also was giving us major sporty spice vibes!
5. Head in the Clouds
The best backdrop that you could ever use…THE SKY!! I love getting shots from lower angles where you can only see the model and the clouds! This was definitely one of my favorites from this shoot!
6. The Abandoned Gas Station
Addison and I woke up at the crack of dawn for these photos and I would 10/10 recommend! Sunrise lighting is absolutely gorgeous and makes for the pretties photos! We went to this abandoned gas station for an edgier look and I would say we absolutely aced it!
7. Butterfly Girl
I bought these butterfly wings at a thrift store and immediately knew I needed to use them in a photoshoot! For this shoot I also did my models hair and makeup for the first time and I loved being able to style the entire look and not just the outfit!! We got so many fun pictures from this shoot, but this close up was my favorite!!
8. Half Court Chic
Time for another editorial shoot!! I wanted to combine sports and fashion for this shoot, so I got one of my best friends, went to a basketball court and took some of the best photos I’ve ever taken!! This one was one I got of Sophia laying down is hands down one of my favorites!
9. A Very Fashionable Loofah
I somehow convinced my parents to let me buy this pink tulle dress off the internet and I’m so glad they did! This was another shoot I was able to style the entire look, I did Addie’s hair, makeup and picked out the whole outfit. We went to the abandoned gas station again and I loved the contrast of the look versus the location!! This whole shoots turned out so editorial!
10. Autumn Aesthetic
Last one best one! Addison came back from college for the weekend and of course we had to do a classic best friend photoshoot! We went full force with the fall aesthetic and I loved this photos!! I switched up my editing style for these pictures and went with a moody, dark editing style and absolutely loved the end result!
Well that’s all for now!! I grew so much as a photographer in 2020 and I can’t wait to see what I create in 2021!!
